Your day begins with a relaxed introduction and an overview of the key bird species, habitats and locations we’ll explore. Depending on your interests, we can also cover photography techniques and help fine-tune your camera settings to suit your goals – whether you’re focused on birdwatching, improving your photography, or both. With Coreena leading the way, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, personalised experience exploring a variety of natural habitats around Hobart. From woodlands and wetlands to lagoons, rainforests, bushland and shorelines, each location is chosen for its seasonal activity and photographic potential. The focus is on slowing down, tuning in and enjoying meaningful encounters with Tasmania’s birdlife. With Coreena’s keen eye and local insight, you’ll have opportunities to observe and photograph birds behaving naturally – feeding, flapping, singing, preening and more. The day will be tailored to your preferences - you may choose more or less photography, or more or less birdwatching. While bird photography is our focus, the day is yours to explore. You may opt to visit multiple locations or choose a tuition-focused bird photography experience and visit fewer sites. However you choose to structure your experience, Coreena will provide valuable insights throughout the day, helping you connect with Tasmania’s birdlife and photograph them in their natural habitat. Whether you’re a dedicated birder, a seasoned photo enthusiast or an aspiring beginner ready to learn, this birding and bird photography day out provides an unforgettable opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Tasmania's birds. Get your binoculars and cameras ready - an exciting day of discovery awaits. •◊•◊•◊•◊•◊•◊•◊•◊•◊• DETAILS: • Duration: 8-9 hours • Departure times from 6.30am. A later start will simply finish later in the day or early evening. • Included: Private transport, local guide/driver, guided nature walks, photography guidance and instruction, light snacks and drinking water. • Lunch & refreshments: At your own expense. We'll decide where to have lunch on the day, according to the itinerary on the day. PLEASE NOTE: We’ll visit well-known locations and hotspots where birdlife is frequently found; however, there is no guarantee of which species or how many will be seen on any given day. If you have a target species you wish to photograph, please get in touch before booking to discuss the tour’s suitability and potential for success.
