We’ll visit well-known locations and birdlife hotspots with varied habitats from woodlands and wetlands to lagoons, rainforests, bushland and shorelines – each chosen for its seasonal bird activity and natural beauty. This day out is perfect for bird lovers, nature enthusiasts and photographers who enjoy focusing on serendipitous encounters rather than sought-after sightings of specific species. This experience embraces chance sightings and spontaneous moments – each encounter feels like a little gift. You may be delighted by birds commonly seen in these regions, spot seasonal visitors passing through or be treated to an infrequent or rare sighting that makes the day truly unforgettable. Throughout the day Coreena will point out the bird species that may cross our paths, offering help with identification where needed. With her local knowledge and keen eye you’ll experience observing and photographing birds behaving naturally – feeding, flapping, singing, preening and more – while also taking time to appreciate the environments they call home. Whether you’re keen to capture memorable photos, add to your birdwatching list or simply enjoy the thrill of seeing birds in the wild, you’ll find this experience to be a rewarding way to connect with Tasmania’s feathered residents. So, pack your binoculars and cameras – a day of discovery awaits. •◊•◊•◊• TOUR SUMMARY • Duration: 8–9 hours • Departure times from 6.30am – a later start will simply finish later in the day or early evening • Private tour for 1–4 guests, priced by group size • An ideal blended day out for birders and bird photographers • Door-to-door service – private return transport from your Hobart hotel or arranged location • Cruise excursions tailored to ship schedules, departing from and returning to Hobart cruise terminal • INCLUDES private transport and guide, guided nature walks, photography guidance, light refreshments and drinking water • Lunch and refreshments are additional – a bakery or cafe will be decided on the day, to align with the route taken. NB: Sightings vary and there is no guarantee of which species or how many will be seen. Please enquire first if you hope to see or photograph specific birds.
Payment, Amendments and Cancellation
Our standard Booking Terms and Conditions, including amendments and cancellations, are always available to view at www.shutterbugwalkabouts.com.au/booking-terms-and-conditions (you’ll also find a link in the footer of every page on our website). •◊•◊•◊• TERMS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY DAY OUT BOOKINGS •◊• PAYMENT • A $250 deposit is required to confirm your booking • Balance is due 45 days before the booked date • Full payment is required for all bookings made less than 45 days before the booked date. •◊• AMENDMENTS • A $50 amendment fee may apply to changes made to your booking. • Non-recoverable experience partner costs associated with your original booking may also apply, along with any additional costs for the new arrangements. •◊• CANCELLATION • 46 or more days before the booked date - You may choose to receive either: • Full travel credit of payments to date, less any non-refundable experience partner costs (if they apply) OR • Refund of payments to date. Non-refundable experience partner costs and an administration fee equal to 7.5% of the total experience cost will be deducted. • 45 to 15 days (inclusive) before the booked date - You will incur a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total experience cost plus any non-recoverable experience partner costs. • 14 or fewer days before the booked date – or in the case of a no-show – 100% of total experience cost, no refund or travel credit available •◊•◊•◊• If we need to amend your booking for any unforeseen operational reason, agreed changes will be made with no additional cost to you. If we need to cancel your booking for any unforeseen operational reason, we will offer you a voucher or refund of the full amount paid (no deductions). •◊•◊•◊•
