Service Description

Discover, experience and photograph the seasonal wonders of Mt Field National Park on this full-day private tour from Hobart. Mt Field National Park has captivated visitors for over a century, offering countless opportunities for nature photographers. We’ll wander the cool-climate rainforest adorned with lush green tree ferns, towering eucalypts and a forest floor rich with fungi, lichen and moss. Amidst the greenery, water cascades over escarpments, swirling around rocks and pebbles as it flows into the creek below. You’ll have ample time to observe your surroundings, soak in the beauty of nature and let a variety of photo subjects captivate your curiosity. Depending on the season, discover an abundance of fungi, endemic flora, like the Tasmanian Waratah, delightful little orchids, ancient conifers like the Pencil Pine and King Billy Pine, intriguing Fagus and more. Keep an eye out for pademelons emerging from the undergrowth, a shy platypus in the lake or river, echidnas moseying about and maybe even a wombat ambling by too. Cockatoos can be heard squawking in the canopies, and Pink Robins are known to delight – a diversity of birdlife will charm you for sure. Every step we take reveals a new opportunity to capture moments that reflect the essence of Tasmania’s wild beauty.
