A Snapshot of this Experience

Join us for a Nature Photography Day Out in Tasmania’s Mt Field National Park, where you’ll be captivated by stunning landscapes, from mountain vistas and forest scenes to crystal-clear lakes and flowing rivers. Each season brings its magic, offering abundant opportunities for nature photography. Together, we’ll wander through cool-climate rainforests, where lush tree ferns and towering eucalypts create a serene atmosphere. Whether you’re shooting long exposures of majestic waterfalls tumbling over the escarpments or the gentle flow of water meandering through the streams, capturing the fine details of fungi, lichen or unfurling fern fronds or framing the grandeur of the forest or the way the light filters through the trees – there’s something for every photographer. This is the perfect place to refine your waterfall photography skills and embrace nature’s beauty in motion. Much of the flora here is endemic to Tasmania, including spring-blooming orchids, vibrant Tasmanian Waratah in early summer, and the Fagus, which transforms in autumn from lush greens to golden hues, and, if the season is right, earthy reds too. The beauty of Mt Field extends beyond its waterfalls, forests and flora. Wildlife and birds add another layer of charm. Keep an eye out for pademelons peeking from the undergrowth, a platypus gliding on the lake or river, or an echidna sauntering by. You might even spot a wombat on its stroll. For bird photographers, the birdlife is abundant. You may encounter fantails, wrens, pardalotes, thornbills, honeyeaters, whistlers and wattlebirds, along with robins, rosellas and cuckoos, just to name a few. Whether you’re focus is on landscapes, close-ups, wildlife or birds, this day promises a wealth of photographic opportunities you won’t want to miss. Book your experience now to capture these breathtaking moments in one of Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– DETAILS • Duration: 9-10 hours • Included: Private transport and local guide/driver, fully guided walks, photography instructions and guidance, national park entry, drinking water • Lunch and refreshments are at your own expense.
