Practical, thorough and patient, Roy can guide you through a wide range of photography topics, camera functions and techniques. •◊•◊•◊•◊• Roy is a skilled photographer with a lifelong passion for the craft. He is known for his patient, thorough and practical approach, breaking down complex concepts into clear steps and adapting to your pace of learning. With Roy, you can dive as deeply as you wish into photography concepts, strengthen your technical understanding and explore the functions and possibilities of your camera. His depth of knowledge and experience gives you the opportunity to understand not only what to do, but how and why things work – helping you make more informed photographic choices. •◊•◊•◊•◊•◊•◊• Suggested durations and what each timeframe generally allows • 1 hour – Master your camera Ideal for exploring your camera’s functions, controls and customisations with Roy. Focus on a particular area or work through ways to customise your camera's setup for greater ease and confidence when using it. • 2 hours – Technical learning and practical application Combine camera setup or a deeper exploration of a photography concept with time to put your new knowledge into practice. Alternatively, use the session to explore techniques for a particular photograph or outcome you have in mind. • 3 hours – Practical learning in the field Extended learning that combines technical understanding with guided practice and step-by-step support. Plenty of time to explore different techniques in real-world conditions and build confidence applying what you’ve learned.. • 4 hours – In-depth tuition A relaxed half-day tailored to your individual goals, with time for progressive learning from understanding concepts and camera setup through to practical application in the field. Payment, Amendments and Cancellation
Payment • Full payment in Australian Dollars (AUD) is required at the time of booking. • You may pay via credit card or bank transfer. Booking is confirmed once full payment has been received. Amendments and cancellations At Shutterbug Walkabouts, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. If you need to adjust your booking, please reach out to us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to assist. If you reschedule your booking… • 72 hours or more before the original booked start time: no additional fee applies. • Less than 72 hours before the original booked start time: a $50 change fee applies. No fees apply if we need to reschedule your booking for any reason. If you cancel your booking for any reason… • 11 or more days before the booked date: Full future travel credit of payments to date OR Refund of payments to date less an administration fee equal to 7.5% of the total experience cost. • 4 to 10 days before the booked date: You will be offered a Shutterbug Walkabouts gift certificate valid for 3 months from the original booked date. No refund is available. • 3 days or less before the booked date: No credit or refund is available; 100% of the experience cost applies. These amendment and cancellation terms apply only to Private Photography Tuition sessions. We kindly ask you to keep in mind that, as a micro business, changes and cancellations can have a significant impact on us due to the limited opportunity to fill the space left, even when advance notice is given. For this reason, amendment and cancellation fees may apply. In saying this, we always apply fair and reasonable discretion on a case-by-case basis for all booking changes and cancellations.
