Our multi-day experiences are ideal for nature and photo enthusiasts and begin with your interest and curiosity. Designed to explore Tasmania’s diverse habitats, they help you uncover the magic of birdlife, wildlife and breathtaking, picture-perfect natural scenery at every turn.

For solo travellers, it’s an opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling, safe, and fully supported experience – thoughtfully tailored to your pace, interests and travel style.

 

For solo women travellers in particular, these are female-led experiences, guided by Coreena Vieth – founder of Shutterbug Walkabouts. With many years of experience as a guide and nature photographer, Coreena understands the value of comfort, connection and attentive support when travelling alone.

 

And for couples, it’s a way to share a journey that reflects what you both enjoy – whether that’s birdwatching and photography, gentle nature walks, exploring local sights, or simply soaking up the scenery together.

Your journey can be shaped entirely around photography or include a mix of photography and other selected activities. Your itinerary might be fully guided or a combine a series of guided days with self-drive routes. However you choose to travel, we’ll tailor the experience to suit how you like to discover, experience and photograph.​

From private tuition and day tours to multi-day tours and retreats, we’ll create an experience that feels just right for you. While some experiences are bookable straight away, others will need a little personalisation. So let’s explore and refine the options together.

Multi-day options allow us to travel further, spend more time in the field and minimise backtracking. Single-day experiences depart and return Hobart each day and will contribute to some cost savings.
