Scroll down for a detailed summary. •◊•◊•◊• Journey to Bruny Island for a day of nature photography amidst its wild and varied landscapes. From sweeping coastal vistas to quiet forests and tranquil lagoons, you’ll photograph the island’s natural beauty while keeping an eye out for birds and wildlife along the way. We’ll travel by ferry across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel before exploring a selection of Bruny’s most photogenic locations – including Cape Bruny, The Neck and quieter, less-visited spots chosen for the day. At Cape Bruny, capture striking images of dramatic sea cliffs and rugged headlands with views to the Southern Ocean. At The Neck, climb the lookout to see sweeping bays on either side, then wander the boardwalk to a pristine sandy beach where few footprints are found. On timing and your interests, we may visit Cloudy Bay for wild coastal seascapes or Adventure Bay for its scenic and historic appeal. As we explore, you’ll encounter places rich with stories that span thousands of years – from the enduring connection of Tasmania’s First Nations people to the arrival of early European explorers, through to Bruny Island’s present-day reputation as a much-loved holiday destination. There will be plenty of time to slow down and photograph the island’s wildlife and subtle natural details. You may spot a sea eagle gliding overhead, a rare white wallaby grazing in the grass, or some of Tasmania’s 12 endemic bird species flitting among the trees. These moments, combined with Bruny Island’s diverse landscapes, make for a rewarding and fulfilling day immersed in nature’s beauty. •◊•◊•◊• TOUR SUMMARY • Duration: 11-12 hours • Recommended 6.30am departure – start later, return later • Private tour for 1–4 guests, priced by group size • Ideal for outdoorsy photographers and non-photographers – or a mix of both • Door-to-door service – private return transport from your Hobart hotel or arranged location • Option for self-drivers to start and end the tour in Kingston or Kettering • This day out may not suit a cruise ship shore excursion (please enquire) • INCLUDES private transport and guide, ferry fares, national park entry, guided walks, photography guidance, snacks and drinking water • Lunch is additional – a picnic lunch will be pre-ordered and collected on the day, with payment made by you at the time of collection.
Payment, Amendments and Cancellation
Our standard Booking Terms and Conditions, including amendments and cancellations, are always available to view at www.shutterbugwalkabouts.com.au/booking-terms-and-conditions (you’ll also find a link in the footer of every page on our website). •◊•◊•◊• TERMS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY DAY OUT BOOKINGS •◊• PAYMENT • A $250 deposit is required to confirm your booking • Balance is due 45 days before the booked date • Full payment is required for all bookings made less than 45 days before the booked date. •◊• AMENDMENTS • A $50 amendment fee may apply to changes made to your booking. • Non-recoverable experience partner costs associated with your original booking may also apply, along with any additional costs for the new arrangements. •◊• CANCELLATION • 46 or more days before the booked date - You may choose to receive either: • Full travel credit of payments to date, less any non-refundable experience partner costs (if they apply) OR • Refund of payments to date. Non-refundable experience partner costs and an administration fee equal to 7.5% of the total experience cost will be deducted. • 45 to 15 days (inclusive) before the booked date - You will incur a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total experience cost plus any non-recoverable experience partner costs. • 14 or fewer days before the booked date – or in the case of a no-show – 100% of total experience cost, no refund or travel credit available •◊•◊•◊• If we need to amend your booking for any unforeseen operational reason, agreed changes will be made with no additional cost to you. If we need to cancel your booking for any unforeseen operational reason, we will offer you a voucher or refund of the full amount paid (no deductions). •◊•◊•◊•
