Sometimes, what begins as following advice, rules or 'shoulds' can slowly disconnect us from curiosity, exploration and making choices that feel right for us. In this reflective piece, I explore how that idea has quietly followed me through life and photography – and why understanding your options matters far more than simply being told what settings to use.
